4cupsfresh pineapple, peeled and chopped into chunks
1/2cupfreshly squeezed lime juice
4cupscold water
1/4cupagave syrup
1/2teaspoonfine sea salt
to tastelime wedges and pineapple slices for garnishing
Instructions
Start by placing the chopped pineapple in a blender. Add 2 cups of cold water to the blender. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no chunks remaining.
Using a fine mesh sieve or a piece of cheesecloth, strain the blended pineapple into a large pitcher. Gently press with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible, discarding the leftover pulp.
Pour in the remaining 2 cups of cold water, along with the fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and sea salt. Stir the mixture well using a long spoon until everything is fully combined.
Take a moment to taste the agua fresca. If you prefer it sweeter, gradually add more agave syrup, stirring to dissolve it completely.
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes. This chilling time will help the flavors meld together beautifully, creating a refreshing beverage.
After chilling, give the pitcher a good stir before serving. Fill tall glasses with ice and pour the agua fresca over the ice, allowing the coolness to enhance your drink.
For an extra tropical flair, garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a slice of fresh pineapple on the rim.
Notes
Serve chilled for the best flavor.
