1/2teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
2tablespoonsfreshly chopped green onions, for garnish
1tablespoonsesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for even cooking.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side up in a large, oven-safe skillet or a baking dish, making sure they are placed in a single layer for even cooking.
Pour the honey garlic mixture evenly over each chicken thigh, using a spoon to ensure that every piece is generously coated with the marinade.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
For an additional caramelized finish, broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes.
Garnish the chicken with freshly chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Serve with steamed jasmine rice or sautéed vegetables.
