Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for desired spice)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

2 large eggs, beaten

1/4 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

Set Up Your Breading Station: In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until well combined. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs, which will give the chicken its delightful crunch.

Coat the Chicken Thighs: Make sure to pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels; this helps the coating stick better. Start by dredging each thigh in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Next, dip the floured chicken in the beaten eggs, letting any excess egg drip off before transferring to the panko breadcrumbs. Coating the chicken thoroughly, press gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere properly.

Arrange on the Baking Sheet: Once coated, lay the chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the top of the chicken to enhance crispiness while baking.

Bake the Chicken: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. The chicken is done when it is golden brown and cooked through, with an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).

Glaze with Hot Honey: About 5 minutes before the chicken is finished baking, remove it from the oven and drizzle the hot honey over the tops of the thighs. This will allow the glaze to caramelize and add a sticky, sweet, and spicy finish.

Serve: After baking, take the chicken out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. If desired, slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces and garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the chicken on a large platter, drizzled with extra hot honey if desired, and garnish with parsley. Pair with a side of coleslaw or roasted vegetables for a complete meal. Enjoy the delightful crunch and explosion of flavors!
