1/4cupGreek yogurt (optional, for added creaminess)
to tastechopped walnuts or pecans for topping
to tasteextra apple slices for garnish
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl or a jar with a secure lid, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and chia seeds. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended and the oats are fully coated in the mixture.
Carefully fold the diced apple into the oat mixture, ensuring even distribution throughout.
For those who desire a creamy texture, gently incorporate the Greek yogurt into the mixture at this stage.
Use a ladle to divide the mixture evenly into serving jars or containers. Make sure to seal the containers tightly to lock in freshness.
Transfer the jars to the refrigerator and allow them to chill overnight, or for a minimum of 4 hours.
When ready to enjoy, remove the jars from the refrigerator and give the oats a hearty stir. If the mixture appears too thick, add a splash of your chosen milk to achieve your preferred consistency.
Before serving, top your oats with a generous handful of chopped walnuts or pecans for a delightful crunch, and garnish with extra apple slices.
Notes
For added creaminess, Greek yogurt can be included. Adjust the milk quantity for desired consistency.
